i saw a flyer for this site in a garage where my missus took her seat for an mot. i drive a seat day to day but am ford at heart and have a black series 2 turbo i'm restoring so thought i'd have a look on here to see what its all about.

Started @ about 9am and finished about (well, it was dark so I'd guess some time after 9pm).

I have no "before" shots as it was raining when I got into work, so the first pictures are once the prep had started....

first off was to liberally spray the car with panel wipe to aid removing any old wax that may be left.






The boot spoiler looks kind of knackered to me (thanks to local foxes and cats having walked over it in the past as a short-cut) to that had to come off.

Once washed over with a pressure washer, it was time to get it inside and out of the worst of the weather. Once dried, it was time for some masking up.

Next was multiple stages of FastCut+, anti-hologram compound and then Finesse. The whole car was done like this one panel @ a time until completed.

It was then time to go back outside for another clean.

Once dried again, the car was moved to another part of the premises where I could gain access to the scissor ramps.

Wheels were then taken off and the car was prepped for the next stages.






Once stripped, 2 layers of AutoGlym Super Resin Polish were applied in succession and left to cure for 15 minutes.

Once that was cured and removed, it was time for the AutoGlym Extra Gloss Protection. Again, that was applied in a single coat and then left to cure for 30 minutes before removing.










The wheels were absolutely filthy, so they were treated to a liberal spray of Muc-Off Alloy Wheel Cleaner.

Again, while the Extra Gloss was curing, I decided to change the indicator bulbs so they looked more "clear", rather than the horrible orange bulbs behind the lens.




Once the Extra Gloss was removed, it was onto the AutoSmart Wax. One coat, lightly applied.




The glass was cleaned with AutoGlym Class Cleaner and all the black plastics were treated to some AutoGlym Bumper Care.

The replacement spoiler was then refitted and all was looking good.

Next weekend will be a quick interior clean and all should be good for the show.]]>

milltek evo manifold cobra race cat, milltek cat bak with custom tailpipe, Code-Red closed air induction, cosworth custom profile cams, Dreamscience/Pumaspeed custom live map, 60mm T/Bdy, magnecore blue H/T leads,Eibach springs, Inovit Tune Rapid 8x18's, Code-Red chequre graffix (the originals.!), and last but by no means least carbon wrapped Bonnet,roof,w/mirrors and rear spoiler Phew.!!

Best of all though is, i have done 390 miles and my fuel light aint even come on yet and that was with my air con on at times too, pretty economical these RS's haha

I am happy to say I bought her from a fellow member of this Owners Club (Cossiecol4x4), sound guy and he said to get in touch with this site to find out much more about doing the right thing in looking after her!

Had an ST170 before that and loved that but have always loved the Sierra Cossie most of all!
